A tutor to Prince Henry (later Henry VIII), Skelton enjoyed the monarch_s favour at court, despite his outspokenness. Throughout the sixteenth century many of Skelton_s poems were printed and reprinted, including _The Bouge of Court_, _Philip Sparrow_, _Colin Clout_ and _The Tunning of Elinour Rumming_.
